    George Washington offers hoops scholarship to Broad Run’s Johnson

    Broad Run High School junior guard Nigel Johnson received his fifth college basketball offer April 30 when George Washington University head coach Mike Lonergan made a scholarship offer to Johnson.

    Johnson averaged 29.5 points per game for the Spartans as a junior and set a Virginia AAA state record with 211 assists in a season.

    His offer list now includes American, Bucknell, Holy Cross, Cornell and George Washington.
