    Leesburg Revolution win a pair of softball titles

    Three Leesburg Revolution fastpitch softball teams placed either first or second in their respective age divisions at the Braddock Road Youth Club Fall Classic, contested Oct. 6-7 in Annandale.

    The Revolution 16U defeated all five of their opponents in the tournament to win their division. The Revs, coached by John Mullen, outscored their opponents by a combined score of 51-5.

    The Revolution 14U also earned a tournament title. The Revs, coached by Tim Hunt, won their championship game in decisive fashion, 11-1.

    The Revolution 10U finished second in their age group. The Revs’ youngest squad is coached by Ray Hess.

    The three teams are part of the Leesburg Girls Softball organization. The Revolution travel softball program was established in 2008 and currently includes teams in the 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U divisions.
