Potomac Falls High School student-athlete Eileen Fauteux has been selected as a state finalist in the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award program. Overall, 20 state finalists were chosen among 935 applicants based on outstanding achievements in athletics, academics and community/school leadership.

Fauteux placed third in the 300-meter hurdles, seventh in the 100 hurdles and ran a leg on the Panthers’ fourth-place 1,600 relay team at the 2012 Virginia State track and field meet. She is currently playing in her senior volleyball season.

The Heisman Award program will name one male and one female finalist from each state as state winners Nov. 5. From that point, 12 state winners will be selected to compete for the National Winner title.
