Loudoun County High School alum Renay Aublel, a freshman infielder at Frostburg State, was selected as the Capital Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week on March 4.
Aubel produced two home runs, six RBIs, three runs scored and posted a .500 on-base percentage to help the Bobcats win three of four games March 1-2 at the Beach Blast in Virginia Beach.
Through eight games, Aubel is hitting .273 with a team-best three home runs and 15 RBIs. Aubel has also walked seven times and has an on base percentage of .433.
Frostburg State (5-3) will travel to Myrtle Beach, S.C. to play in a Spring Break Tournament beginning March 16.
