The college scholarship offers continue to roll in for three Briar Woods High School football players. The trio helped the Falcons win their third consecutive Virginia Division 4 state championship in 2012.
Briar Woods junior Trace McSorley recently received offers from Vanderbilt, Western Michigan and Old Dominion to push his total number of scholarship offers to nine.
McSorley, a 6-foot, 182-pound quarterback/defensive back, was selected as the Offensive Player of the Year on the 2012 Virginia High School Coaches Association Group AA All-State team. He has started every game at quarterback since his freshman season - guiding the Falcons to a 42-3 record during that span.
McSorley also holds offers from North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Ohio, UNC-Charlotte and Massachusetts.
Falcon junior offensive lineman Jared Coker has received four scholarship offers. Coker earned honorable mention selection on the 2012 All-State team at the guard position.
The 6-foot-3, 280-pound Coker has offers from Bowling Green, Virginia Military Institute, Old Dominion and Massachusetts.
Rounding out the list is Brandon Polk, a sophomore wide receiver/kick returner. The Class of 2015 recruit recently added an offer from Old Dominion to go with scholarship offers from Bowl Championship Series schools Virginia Tech and Maryland.
