Freshman Pipsy Steyn was selected as Foxcroft School’s Athlete of the Week for the period ending Jan. 12.

Steyn, a point guard from Leesburg, was the only player on Foxcroft’s junior varsity basketball team to score in all three games during the Think Pink Tournament. She scored six points in a 12-8 win against St. James.

A native of South Africa, Steyn was a defensive standout on Foxcroft’s varsity field hockey team in the fall. Foxcroft advanced to the final of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II state tournament.
