Stone Bridge High School punched its ticket for the Virginia AAA competitive cheer championships for a 10th straight year following a runner-up performance at the Northern Region cheer finals Nov. 5 in Fairfax.

The Bulldogs totaled 256 points at the region meet, seven points behind host Fairfax. Herndon placed third with 251.5 points and West Springfield was fourth with 227 points. All four teams qualified for states.

Stone Bridge has won four state cheer championships - three at the AAA level and one in AA. The Bulldogs will vie for their fifth state title Nov. 12 at the Siegel Center in Richmond.
