Stone Bridge High School junior Ryan Burns has been selected to play in the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, an annual football game that features top high school players from across the nation.
Burns, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound pro style quarterback, currently holds scholarship offers from Rutgers, Boston College, Penn State, Virginia, Stanford and West Virginia.
Burns earned All-Northern Region honors in 2011 after passing for more than 1,800 yards for the Liberty District champion Bulldogs. He also made the Northern Region honor roll with a 3.98 grade point average.
Briar Woods senior Alex Carter, a Stanford commit, played in this year’s All-American Bowl, contested Jan. 7 in San Antonio.
