-Boys: Potomac Falls 7, Loudoun County 2
LC report: Despite falling to Potomac Falls, Loudoun County seniors had their day in the sun. Senior Day marked the final home match for this year’s graduating class.
In traditional fashion, each player was recognized for both his athletic and academic accomplishments at LCHS. While this year’s team didn’t quite achieve the court success it hoped for, there is no doubt that they are all destined for success in their futures. Congratulations to our Raider varsity seniors - Chris Czupak, Greg D’Alessio, Daniel Seifert, Trevor Barnard, Darius Saedi and Nate Blakeman.
In match play, the Raiders #1 Chris Czupak added to his career singles win column by defeating the Panthers Adam Gonder 8-3. Three break games, multiple deuce points, a dominant serve and crafty net play by Czupak dominated the match.
At the #4 slot, Daniel Seifert battled the heat and Panther Kevin Cunningham to a tiebreak win. The match was a back and forth battle for both players, with Daniel winning key points in the tiebreaker. Congratulations to both Chris and Daniel for their latest wins.
