The TCCP Tornados, featuring Leesburg siblings Nicholas and Harrison Schultz, won 74 percent of their matches to claim the ages 10 and under intermediate division title at the 2012 United States Tennis Association Mid-Atlantic Section Championship, Aug. 10-12 in College Park, Md.

The Tornados’ section championship followed their dominant performance at the state level where they won 78 percent of their matches.

The team was honored, along with other Mid-Atlantic state champions, on July 20 at the Citi Open, a professional tennis event in Washington, D.C.

Nicholas, 9, and Harrison, 7, compete in USTA regional tournaments. Nicholas is currently ranked No. 19 and Harrison is ranked No. 24 in the Mid-Atlantic region for ages 10 and under.
