Middleburg Academy senior Ryan Gregory and sophomore Stephan Schnabel have qualified for the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association State Wrestling Tournament.

Gregory produced a record of eight wins and five losses with three pins at 152 pounds this season. Gregory placed fourth at the Massanutten Military Academy Invitational Tournament.

Schnabel went 11-4 at 160 pounds this winter, recording 10 of his 11 wins by pin. Schnabel placed second at the Massanutten Military Academy Invitational Tournament.

Middleburg Academy, coached by Steve Schnabel, fielded a wrestling program for the first time this year.

The state tournament will take place Feb. 18-19 at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
