    VHSL state football playoffs scoreboard

    The Briar Woods Falcons are Virginia Division 4 state football champions for a third consecutive year. Briar Woods shut out Heritage-Lynchburg, 52-0, on Dec. 8 at Liberty University. Stone Bridge lost to Lake Taylor, 20-14, in the Division 5 title game. The Bulldogs’ rally from a 20-0 second-half deficit fell a little short.
