Bridgewater College senior guard Jessica Mullen was recently voted the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Year in women's basketball. Mullen is a Loudoun Valley High School graduate.
Mullen scored in double figures in 21 of her team's 25 games this season and averaged 15.8 points per game. She led the ODAC in steals during the regular season with 79 and ranked fifth in the conference in free-throw percentage at 80 percent.
A three-time All-ODAC first-team selection during her college career, Mullen is among Bridgewater's career top 10 in seven statistical categories. She became the 18th player in program to surpass 1,000 career points Jan. 5.
Mullen was a member of the National Honor Society and a two-time All-District player at Loudoun Valley. She was selected as the Vikings' Team MVP twice during her prep career.
