Loudoun Valley High School alum Amber Cook netted a hat trick and dished an assist to lead Old Dominion University’s women’s soccer team to a 6-1 victory against Virginia Military Institute Sept. 9 in Norfolk.
Cook, a junior, scored all three of her goals in the second half as the Monarchs (2-4) snapped a four-game losing streak. For her efforts, Cook has been selected as the Colonial Athletic Association’s Co-Player of the Week.
Old Dominion will host Richmond on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.
