Freedom High School Class of 2012 graduate Will Walter played in a role in Team Freedom winning the boys’ championship at the 2012 Champion All-American Showcase event, contested July 25-27 at the ESPN Wide World of Disney Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Team Freedom won all four of its games in the tournament, highlighted by an 11-9 comeback victory over Team Spirit in the championship game.

Walter scored a goal in the title game. He will continue his lacrosse career at Ferrum College in Southwest Virginia. The Ferrum Panthers are Division III members of the USA South Athletic Conference.
