    Woodgrove to hold cheer clinic fundraiser on Columbus Day

    Woodgrove High School will conduct a Cheer Clinic Fundraiser for beginners to advance cheerleaders in kindergarten through eighth grade on Columbus Day, Oct. 10, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Purcellville Skating Rink.

    The clinic will focus on motions, jumps, cheers, chants and stunting. Participants will also will learn a sideline dance. Cost is $50. Click here to register online or click here to download a registration form.

    Woodgrove will also host the second Dulles District mini cheer competition Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. The second-year Wolverine program is off to a good start in 2011. Woodgrove placed fourth at both the second annual Loudoun Valley Spirit Invitational on Sept. 24 and the first Dulles District mini competition Sept. 27 at Dominion High School.
