APEX Gymnastics to host Emerald City Classic in March

Tue., Feb. 7 | 11:14 AM - APEX Gymnastics in Leesburg will host the 12th annual Emerald City Classic March 2-4. The competition will feature more than 600 gymnasts representing more than 20 clubs from Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia.

Freedom gymnasts set school record, win Cedar Run title

Fri., Feb. 3 | 10:05 AM - Freedom High School posted a school record 147.2 team score at the AAA Cedar Run District gymnastics meet Feb. 1 at Patriot High School. The Eagles topped runner-up Battlefield by more than five points to claim the team title.

Liberty Gymnastics: Bulldogs flip their way to regionals

Fri., Feb. 3 | 08:36 AM - The Stone Bridge High School gymnastics team qualified for regionals after placing second behind team champion McLean at the AAA Liberty District meet Feb. 1 in Ashburn.

Loudoun County won the Purple Division of the Battlefield High School “Battle against Cancer” meet Dec. 17. Freshman Victoria Miner and senior Jessica Drews combined to win four events and placed first and second respectively in the all-around. Tue., Jan. 24 | 02:50 PM - Freedom High School won the team title in the Navy Division at the Aloha Classic, Jan. 21 at Patriot High School. Victoria Miner set a Loudoun County school record with a 9.175 score on the vault to help the Raiders place third.

Gymnastics teams win titles at Arlington Aerials Invitational

Tue., Jan. 17 | 09:15 AM - The level 5 and 7 APEX girls gymnastics teams won team titles Jan. 14-15 at the Arlington Aerials invitational. Additionally, the level 8 and 9 teams earned runner-up finishes, the level 6 team placed third and the level 4 team finished fifth.

Tue., Jan. 10 | 03:10 PM - Colonial Forge High School edged Osbourn Park, Loudoun County and Stone Bridge for the team title in the elite Red Division, and Loudoun Valley claimed the Blue Division title at the Glory Days Grill/Park View Gymnastics Invitational Jan. 7 in Sterling.

APEX gymnasts place fourth at state meet

Tue., Apr. 5 | 09:38 AM - The APEX Level 6 gymnastics team placed fourth in the state competition, held March 26-27 in Virginia Beach. A pair of APEX gymnasts won individual state titles on the vault -- Julia Ames in level 6 and Alex Donahue in level 7.
