From the road: April 28 storm coverage

Storm coverage on the morning of April 28.

Comments

The weather showed the huge difference between the VA 15 and MD 15.  The MD 15 had no water issues at all—-the VA 15 absolutely sucked.  I know there are folks that love the road (VA 15) the way it is, but it can not stay that way——to dangerous in situations like this.  Ignoring the safety issues will not stop the traffic from coming.

Where that car got stuck - its right over the Potomac Bridge, the VA side…there is no other way, no short cut thru a back road and with no shoulders to turn around on, it makes it just as dangerous, if you ask me

wow. how can people drive through that? once you suck up water into your engine’s intake, you’re a good bet to be buying a new crate engine or rebuild. In winter you’d definitely be shopping for a new engine after that water freezes inside the engine, but it is NOT worth it. Turn around, tell the people beeping at you to shove it, and find another way.
