Polls open at 6 a.m.; free rides for voters available
Tuesday, Nov. 6, is Election Day, and polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. across Loudoun County.In Loudoun, all nine seats on the Board of Supervisors are up for grabs.
Also being contested are county sheriff, treasurer and commonwealth's attorney, as well as all seats in the state's General Assembly.
Incumbents in races for commissioner of the revenue and clerk of the Circuit Court are both running unopposed Tuesday.
Voters also are being asked to vote on eight bonds to finance the construction of a school and recreation center, and the construction and renovation of several public safety facilities and community centers in Loudoun.

Also, Virginia Regional Transit will provide free rides to the polls for any Loudoun voter on Election Day. Voters not on existing routes can schedule a ride by calling 540-338-1610 and asking for Sylvia.
