Class Acts
The following is a list of classes in the Loudoun and Fairfax area: Art - Cartooning basics for children. Dec. 29-31, Loudoun Academy of the Arts, 222 S. King St., Leesburg; $100. The academy also offers instruction in drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics and photography for artists of all levels and ages. Theater
Theaterpalooza. Eight-week theater workshop for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Offered by Walker Performing Arts at Douglass Community Center, 407 E. Market St., Leesburg.
Session One will run Thursday evenings, Jan. 15-March 5; Session Two, Thursday evenings, March 12-May 7. Times are 5-6 p.m. for grades K-2 and 7-8 p.m. for grades 3-5. Group voice class also offered for grades K-5 Thursdays, 6-7 p.m.
At the end of each workshop, a performance will be presented for family members and friends. Workshops will feature scenes from “The Wizard of Oz,” “Annie,” “The Lion King” and more.
