Ideal school coming to Loudoun

The Board of Supervisors voted June 9 to permit a private school, the Ideal School, to be constructed in Beaumeade.

The school will be Loudoun’s first nonsectarian, co-ed, private high school. It will be on about 12 acres at the corner of Cape Court and Loudoun County Parkway in Beaumeade Corporate Park.

Deep Sran, founder of the school, plans to open it for the 2008-2009 school year with four faculty members.

The school will offer students a chance to excel in small classrooms, in an environment committed to problem-solving and project-based learning, he said.

Tuition is $20,000 a year, discounted the first year to $16,000.
