Landscaping kudos, babies' birthdays, community loss, council meetingBy Betty Shiflett
Landscaping kudos: Thank you very much again to Morgan Walker from Gardens of Delight here in the village. Morgan and her people tend to the "triangle" at the village entrance, and also the Easter Cullen peony garden near the commemorative stone and the village Christmas tree. We hope that the peonies will bear much “fruit” this month.
Babies' birthdays: Belated birthday greetings to the Walkers' baby girl. Barrie Ann turned 1 year old recently. Another baby who got some attention lately is Myka Pendleton. Drew's parents (Glenn and Bonnie) and sister Kelly came up from Louisville to see Myka for the first time -- in person. These are precious little ones.
In sympathy: We extend our sympathy to Gladys and the family as Warren Cook passed away last week at the Veterans Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Birthdays: Birthday greetings tomorrow to Peacock Farm neighbor Jan Shelton. We wish you many more.
Council meeting: Remember the Paeonian Springs Council meeting next Thursday night, May 22, location to be announced. Be sure to check out the historic house plaque at the post office and a good number of houses in the village. Ours says, "1890."
