Opening Drive: Week 6

The sixth week of the 2008 varsity football season features six district matchups, including Potomac Falls at Loudoun County in our Game of the Week.
Here's a look at the other five games.
Stone Bridge (5-0) at South Lakes (1-4)
When: Oct. 3, 7:30 p.m.
Last season: Stone Bridge, 54-12
Last week: Stone Bridge 51, McLean 13; Woodson 41, South Lakes 0
Quick glance: Stone Bridge has outscored its first five opponents by an average of 42 points per game -- and that's with the Bulldog starters receiving plenty of rest in the second half of games.
Dominion (1-3) at Briar Woods (3-1)
When: Oct. 3, 7:30 p.m.
Last season: Briar Woods, 35-14
Last week: Broad Run 29, Briar Woods 0; Dominion 35, Freedom 7
Quick glance: Both teams had a reversal of fortunes last week. Briar Woods lost for the first time, while Dominion gained its first victory. Can the Falcons regain their early season form in this one?
Broad Run (4-0) at Heritage (3-1)
When: Oct. 3, 7:30 p.m.
Last season: Broad Run, 17-10
Last week: Broad Run 29, Briar Woods 0; Potomac Falls 48, Heritage 21
Quick glance: The Pride fell hard from the unbeaten ranks last week. Heritage will need a spirited effort Friday night to keep the Spartans from winning their 15th straight regular-season game.
Park View (1-3) at Freedom (1-3)
When: Oct. 3, 7:30 p.m.
Last season: Park View, 35-7
Last week: Loudoun County 21, Park View 4; Dominion 35, Freedom 7
Quick glance: Both teams stumbled out of the gate in their Dulles District openers. The squad that rebounds in this matchup will remain in district contention.
Fauquier (4-0) at Loudoun Valley (0-4)
When: Oct. 3, 7:30 p.m.
Last season: Fauquier, 33-14
Last week: Osbourn Park 21, Loudoun Valley 0; Fauquier 42, Culpeper 9
Quick glance: The Vikings are still searching for their initial win under first-year coach Danny McGrath. Will Loudoun Valley's third home game in the last three weeks prove to be the charm?
