Heritage sweeps Dulles District track championships

The Heritage Pride edged Potomac Falls by single digits in the boys' and girls' standings to sweep the team championships at the Dulles District track and field meet May 13-14 in Leesburg.

Hannah McLaughlin won individual titles in the 200 and 400 for the Pride. Shaquera Leech (100), Chloe Donnelly (long jump), Bria Nunley (triple jump), Charnelle Hearns (discus) also won girls' events for Heritage, as did the Pride's 1,600 relay team.

Josh Toney (shot put), TJ McPhaul (300 hurdles) and the 400 relay team were champs for the Pride boys.

Potomac Falls standout Christina Lee claimed three individual titles (800, 1,600 and 3,200) at the Dulles meet.

Broad Run's Brooke Thompson (100 and 300 hurdles) and Rashawn Hugg (100, 200), Potomac Falls' Josh Hardin (1,600 and 3,200) and Park View's Nathan Santana (long jump and triple jump) also won multiple individual titles.
