Veterans Day observed throughout county
On a gray, drizzling morning Nov. 11, residents gathered at ceremonies throughout Loudoun County to honor our nation's veterans.
In Leesburg, part of Market Street was blocked as soldiers marched from the Loudoun County Courthouse to Dodona Manor, the former home of Gen. George C. Marshall, for a wreath-laying ceremony. This celebration honored National Guard troops from Company C, 3rd Battalion, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
Many schools also celebrated their veterans. Click here for an article on Loudoun Country Day School's Veterans Day observation.
