Police charge Maryland men in Ashburn burglary

Four Maryland men have been charged in connection with a home burglary in Ashburn early Nov. 20.

Deputies were called to the home in the 43290 block of Atherton Street at about 1:30 a.m. for a burglary, Loudoun County Sheriff's Office spokesman Kraig Troxell said.

Deputies arrived to find signs of a burglary. Items taken included two large-screen televisions and a video game system. There were residents inside when the burglary happened, Troxell said.

Patrol deputies searched the area and stopped a vehicle in the area of Waxpool Road and Loudoun County Parkway. The four people inside were taken into custody, Troxell said.

After an investigation, police charged Giovanni Flores-Portillo, 27, of Rockvlle, Md., and Dwayne Russ Peyton Jr., 20, Devon Andre Sokol, 21, and Luis Manuel Dominguez, 22, all of Oxon Hill, Md., with grand larceny and burglary. Peyton faces an additional charge of possession of burglarious tools, Troxell said.
