2015 candidate questionnaires—General Assembly, Board of Supervisors and School Board

If you’re looking to prep for the Loudoun November elections, we’ve got you covered. Last month, the Times-Mirror sent questionnaires to all of the candidates on the November ballot. The answers from those who responded are listed below. The questionnaires are divided into School Board, Board of Supervisor and General Assembly races.

I would like to point out that the above candidate questionnaires doesn’t include all the offices and issues on the ballot.  We have contests for Sheriff and County Clerk and several more, as well as two bond issues to vote on.  See http://www.loudoun.gov/election2015 to see the entire ballot we are to vote on.  I wish the Times-Mirror had included information on those contests.

Two questions:
1. Who hasn’t filled their questionnaires out? This needs to be called out, if you ask me.
2. Why are the Republicans listed first in all cases except Jenn Wexton’s (Go Jenn!!) even in open field races like Leesburg, Broad Run and Blue Ridge?

That said, great reads, and I commend you for putting this out—many of the endorsing committees have kept their surveys private, making it hard for voters to understand what drove an endorsement decision.

Craig Green
Catoctin Democrat for Board of Supervisors.
