Another candidate for Purcellville Town Council

Karen Jimmerson has announced her candidacy for Purcellville Town Council for the upcoming May elections.

According to a released statement, Jimmerson is running to "protect the small town values that are being undermined by out-of-town developers."

Jimmerson has worked for the past 10 years managing multi-million dollar retails stores and has been involved in the community as secretary of the Old Dominion HOA. She also serves as a PTA vounteer and a Girl Scout troop leader. This is her first bid for public office.

Jimmerson's platform includes traffic and infrastructure improvement and economic development that maintains Purcellville's history and culture.

Purcellville is one of five towns that will hold town elections in May. Hamilton, Round Hill, Middleburg and Lovettsville are also conducting elections.
