Armed robbery at Ashburn gas station; video stills released

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery at an Ashburn gas station in the early hours of this morning.

Around 1:34 a.m. Feb. 1, a man entered the Sunoco gas station in the 44000 Ashburn Shopping Plaza in Ashburn armed with a handgun. The suspect stole cash from the clerk at the store then fled on foot. There were no injuries reported, according to the LCSO.

The man is described as white, around 5’5”-5’8” tall wearing a blue jacket with a hood with an emblem on the left breast area, a yellow hoodie under the outer jacket, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.

Surveillance video stills of the suspect were obtained from the business, and detectives are asking for public's assistance to help identify him. Anyone with information regarding his possible identity is asked to contact Detective J. Totaro at 703-777-0475.
