Ashburn woman charged with drunk in public following altercation

An Ashburn woman was arrested and charged with drunk in public following a traffic altercation Thursday morning.

According to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the Maitland Terrace and Wishart Alley area in Ashburn for two drivers involved in a traffic collision. The driver of one of the vehicles struck the other driver's car and fled the scene on foot.

The drivers were reportedly known to each other and involved in a previous altercation.

The second driver, Jennifer N. Grissom, 37, of Ashburn, was charged with drunk in public and remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

Charges against the second driver are pending.

Drunk on a Thursday morning.  Everyday’s a holiday.

Geez.  One should be allowed to be drunk in public as long as you are not driving or endangering anyone else.

What’s the “drunk” limit anyway?  .08?
