For the third year in a row, the Broad Run High School Marching Spartans won their class at the James Madison University Parade of Champions.
The Parade of Champions, held Oct. 19 has been a staple at JMU for the last 36 years. This year, 46 high schools competed in five different classes.
Performing this year's show, “We the People,” the Marching Spartans beat eight other schools in the AA Class with a score of 83.8. They also won awards for having the Best Music and Best Visual Effect in their class.
