Two Broad Run High School English teachers had their short stories selected as prize winners in the 16th annual F. Scott Fitzgerald Short Story Contest sponsored by Montgomery College and The Potomac Review.
Beth Konkoski’s story “A Drawn and Papered Heart” won first place and will be published in The Potomac Review in the spring of 2014. Sally Toner’s story “The Broken Ones” received third place in the contest.
Both women were recognized at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Conference Oct. 26 at Montgomery College in Rockville.
