A 44-year-old Chantilly man was assaulted Tuesday by an unknown man Tuesday in the 25000 block of South Riding Plaza.

It's not known what provoked the 7 p.m. assault, according to Loudoun Sheriff's Office reports.

The assailant is described as a white man, 5 feet 9 inches tall with a muscular build. He has a shaved/bald head and was last seen wearing a black hat, a black sleeveless shirt and jean shorts.

He was driving a green Toyota four-door.

The victim declined medical treatment at the scene.
