Charter school decision coming soon

The Loudoun County School Board will vote Feb. 26 whether or not to approve the Loudoun Math and IT Academy's charter school application.

The last public hearing was held Feb. 19 and featured 23 community members speaking to the board. Just three people spoke in favor of the charter school; many accused the school and its prospective founders of tie to Turkish Islamic preacher Fethullah Gulen.
