Crime Report for Monday, March. 25, 2013

March 22-24, 9 p.m. - 6 a.m.
The glass door of a home at the 46600 block of East Church Road in Sterling was damaged when someone attempted to get into a home there. Nothing was reported missing.

March 24, 2:20 a.m.
A small amount of merchandise was stolen when unknown persons broke into the In and Out Market on Shaw Road by damaging a glass door. At approximately 2:34 a.m. on the same evening, a similar incident occurred at the In and Out Market on Shellhord Road in Ashburn, although nothing was reported missing. The two break-ins are being investigated as related break-ins.

March 24, 1:42 a.m.
An intruder entered a home at the 25500 block of Beresford Drive in Chantilly, but fled when the homeowner called out.

March 25, 1:50 a.m.
A resident of the 46800 block of Trumpet Circle in Sterling returned home to fund a man in their home. Fleeing through a basement door, the intruder was described as a Hispanic male wearing a dark hoodie and khaki pants.

Destruction of Property
March 22, 9:45 p.m.
A resident of the 43500 block of Wild Indigo in Leesburg reported that one of their windows was damaged by an unknown object.

March 22, 8:20 p.m.
A resident of Awsley Court in Sterling allegedly confronted the driver of a car doing "donuts" in the cul-de-sac. During the confrontation a firearm was allegedly brandished. Vincent K. Gay, 45, was charged with brandishing a firearm.

March 20-21, 9:30 p.m. 9 a.m.
A GPS unit was stolen from a car at the 42800 block of Smallwood Terrace in South Riding.

March 21, 4:50 a.m. - 5:50 p.m.
An article of clothing was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at the 26200 block of Ocala Circle in Chantilly.

March 22-23, 2 p.m. - 10 a.m.
Cable was removed from the 1500 block of Moran Road in Sterling.

March 22-23, 4:45 p.m. - Noon
A laptop and loose change was stolen from a car at the 42800 block of Center Street in South Riding.

Suspicious Event
March 22, 9:20 a.m.
A resident of the 43200 block of Morven Square in Ashburn reported hearing noises as if someone was trying to enter their front door. A white work van was spotted in the area.
