Auto Accident
Dec. 12, 2:20 p.m.
A 13-month-old female was struck by an SUV as a family friend was pulling out of driveway at the 17200 block of Twinoaks Place in Hamilton. The driver was unaware that the toddler had followed them out of the home. The child was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital and is expected to fully recover.

Dec. 12, 11:05 p.m.
A resident of the 24500 block of Aldie place was woken up by a strange noise and observed a strange person outside their window. The trespasser fled before deputies arrived.

Dec. 13, 2:15-2:30 a.m.
Burglars broke into a business at the 22500 block of Shaw Road by damaging a glass door and stole copper wiring.

Destruction of Property
Nov. 27 - Dec. 12
A resident of the 42500 block of Neighborly Lane in South Riding reported that several strands of Christmas lights had been damaged during this time frame.

Dec. 11, 8 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Vandals damaged community signs and lights near the intersection of Morningstar Place and Quarter Branch Road in Lovettsville.

Dec. 11-12, Midnight - 3:30 a.m.
Christmas lights were damaged at the 1000 block of N. Sterling Blvd. in Sterling.

Dec. 9-10, 11:30 p.m. - 7:15 a.m.
Gift cards and cash were stolen from a home at the 43200 block of Beacontree Terrace in Ashburn.

Dec. 12, 12:30 a.m. - 7:45 a,m.
Inflatable Christmas decorations were stolen from the front lawn of a home at the 12000 block of Morningstar Place in Lovettsville.

Dec. 13, 4 a.m.
A resident of Utica Square in Sterling discovered their car door ajar and a laptop missing after being alerted by noisees outside.
