Everyday Elegance in Purcellville to close its doors

One of Purcellville's popular retail businesses will close its doors at the end of August.

Everyday Elegance, located at 600 E. Main St., first opened in 2005 as Really Great Finds and later became Everyday Elegance in 2010. Over the years, it has been a shopping destination for home décor, gifts, jewelry, clothes and other accessories.

Debbie Wagner, who co-owns the shop with Donna Horton, said they have many reasons for closing, but most of all they are both ready to move on and have new adventures.

“Donna has been the best partner and we would work together forever if we could. It has worked well for us,” Wagner said.

Wagner said owning a brick-and-morter shop “is expensive,” adding it is difficult in to maintain a storefront with “very little reward” in the new-age economy.

“People want to shop online or they want a bargain,” Wagner said.

Everything in the store is currently 25 percent off, and all of the display pieces are also for sale.

Wagner said they are grateful for their loyal customers and they are fortunate to have been able to work with so many creative people over the years.

“We hope to see all of our customers one more time to say goodbye,” she said.
