Five arrested for Sterling assault, robbery

Five men have been arrested following a robbery and assault in Sterling Friday night, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's office deputies responded Nov. 10 around 7:15 p.m. to the 21000 block of Huntington Square in Sterling. The victim reported they attempted to purchase a cell phone from one of the suspects in the parking lot. When the victim handed the suspect cash, they were then denied the phone and assaulted, according to the LCSO.

The suspects were later apprehended at a nearby hotel and identified as: Jerel N. Jamison, 18, of Leesburg; Kwame Adjei, 19, of Ashburn; Theodore T. Barnes, Jr., 25, of Herndon; Christian T. Knock, 18, of Ashburn; Alvand K. Shirazi, 18, of Winchester.

Jamison, Barnes Jr., Knock and Shirazi were charged with conspiracy to commit a robbery, while Adjei with robbery. All the arrestees are being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
