Herndon teen charged in Sterling burglary, assault

A Herndon teenager has been charged in connection with the burglary of a Sterling residence on Friday night during which he assaulted a juvenile female, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday.

The 15-year-old was identified and apprehended Tuesday night. The suspect was observed by the victim on Sept. 8 entering her home in the 1300 block of E. Lee Road around 9 p.m. The suspect reportedly opened the kitchen window and leaned in halfway through the window. The suspect moved through the window and inappropriately touched the female and threw items at her prior to leaving the area, according to LCSO. The victim was not physically injured during the incident.

The teenager has been charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor sexual assault and misdemeanor simple assault. The name of the juvenile cannot be released due to the fact he is a minor. He remains held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.

Hey Captain Caps Lock, police don’t release the names of juvenile offenders.

WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO STOP PROTECTING MINOR CRIMINALS AND START OUTING THEM BY RELEASING THEIR NAMES. THEY KNOW RIGHT FROM WRONG. ANYONE THAT COMMITS A CRIME SHOULD BE NAMED REGARDLESS OF AGE.
