Highly anticipated World of Beer at One Loudoun to open next month
Officials with the well-known brewhouse franchise announced on Feb. 16 the One Loudoun pub will open its doors sometime in March.
Planning to employ about 70 people, the World of Beer at One Loudoun will feature more than 500 bottles, 55 rotating taps and a cask engine and infusion tower. The new eatery will flaunt a 4,981-square-foot tavern, an 850-square-foot outdoor patio and a large fire pit with lounge seating.
The new spot will also cater to the local crowd, offering pours from Lost Rhino Brewing Company from Ashburn, DC Brau Brewing Company, Ocelot Brewing Company in Dulles, Old Ox Brewery in Ashburn and Beltway Brewing Company in Sterling.
As for the solids, World of Beer is known for its bar classics – huge Bavarian Pretzels, Steak Frites, Tuna Poke, a Guinness “Brat” served on a toasted hoagie roll and a Chimay Burger topped with melted Chimay cheese made at the brewery in Belgium.
The World of Beer franchise has more than 70 locations across 20 states, including nearby Reston and Washington.
“Northern Virginia, and specifically the Loudoun community, has a long standing adoration for great beer paired with great food, which is why we picked this location to open a new WOB,” Bob Dorfman, World of Beer at One Loudoun’s owner, said in a statement. “Our tavern’s database includes beer in 68 styles from 47 states and 82 countries, guaranteeing an experience that guests can’t get anywhere else.”
The Loudoun spot will be Dorfman's second location, following his World of Beer-Charlottesville operation.
