Hill School dedicates sculpture to deceased student

At its annual alumni spring reception, the Hill School in Middleburg unveiled a statue dedicated to Mia McIlvaine, a student who graduated from the school in 1961 and died in a boating accident at the age of 25.

Mia’s brother Chris McClary said the event and the new sculpture “brought Mia back into our lives and our thoughts. The cycle now seems perfect and this is just a wonderful thing.”
