Kaine: Put partisanship aside

Former Gov. Tim Kaine, a Democrat, was sworn in as Virginia’s newest U.S. Senator Jan. 3, succeeding Sen. Jim Webb (left), a Democrat who did not seek reelection. Kaine joins another former governor, Democrat Mark Warner (middle), to comprise Virginia’s representation in Congress’ upper house. Said Kaine Jan 3: “This new Congress must seize the opportunity to put partisanship aside and do what’s right for families in Virginia and across the country. There is too much at stake for Congress to remain paralyzed by political gridlock and I am eager to work with my new Senate colleagues on both sides of the aisle to tackle the difficult challenges we face through dialogue, listening, and compromise.”

What he means is that working together we can spend more money then if we argue with the republicans.
