Kellie Grim to step down from Purcellville Town Council

Purcellville Town Council member Kellie Grim announced Wednesday she will be leaving her seat as of Oct. 31.

Grim said her husband, who works for the government, has been reassigned, and they will be moving out of town.

"It is bittersweet, and it is hard to go. There is so much we have accomplished and so much more to do. I ran for the people that did not have a voice and now new advocates will come along to do good things," Grim said.

Grim's seat will be filled by Town Council for the remainder of her term, until May 2018. She was elected in May 2016 to fill the seat vacated by Ben Packard, who also moved out of town in 2016.
