The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a hit and run crash that damaged a utility pole on Oct 30 and created a six-hour traffic delay on Old Ox Road.
Around 6:15 a.m., a dump truck struck a utility line containing lines for Verizon and NOVEC in the area of Route 606 near Douglas Court. The driver got out of the dump truck and then re-entered his truck and left the scene.
The roadway was closed from 6:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as utility crews repaired the damage.
Anyone who has any information regarding the possible identity of the driver or has information regarding the dump truck is asked to call Investigator R. Beach of the Loudoun County Crash Reconstruction Unit at 703-777-1021.
