Leesburg woman arrested in connection with school break-in

Christina Anne Grant

Leesburg Police on Tuesday arrested a 36-year-old woman in connection with a Feb. 5 break-in at the Leesburg Montessori School.

Christina Anne Grant, of Leesburg, was charged with unlawful entry, petit larceny and destruction of property.

Grant was seen by the Loudoun County Magistrate and released on a $7,500 unsecured bond. Her arraignment date was set for Feb. 15 in Loudoun County General District Court.

After investigating the incident thoroughly, it was determined that this was an isolated incident, according to Leesburg Master Police Officer Christopher Tidmore.

The school and students that participate in the program were not targeted by Grant in this unplanned event, Tidmore said.

According to reports, Grant broke into the building about 7:15 a.m.

School staff found a glass door broken when they arrived to open the school for the day. Officers found evidence that someone had broken into the school and taken items such as clothing and some food products.

36 years old? Clothing and Food? Did she not know she could apply for Food Stamps if poor and hungry and obtain free clothing from just about any church in the area?
