Loudoun Chamber honors local businesses

Local businesses big and small were honored at the 21st annual Small Business Awards Nov. 6.

Hosted by the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, the event drew more than 400 of Loudoun’s businesses and community leaders to North Gate Vineyard in Lansdowne.

Boulder Crest Retreat for Military and Veteran Wellness was the Small Business Winner of 2015.

Ken Falke, owner of Boulder Crest in Bluemont, founded the retreat as a place for veterans to heal mentally and physically. A wounded veteran himself, Falke was worried about the trend of using pills to fix symptoms but not root out the underlying injuries.
