    Loudoun could see 2 inches of snow this weekend

    Loudoun County could see up to 2 inches of snow on Sunday, according to a National Weather Service advisory posted at 2:33 p.m. Dec. 6.

    Precipitation is expected to start Sunday morning, lasting through Monday morning.

    Snow and sleet will become freezing rain Sunday afternoon. The 1 to 2 inches of snow will be accompanied by one-forth of an inch of ice.

    The report stated, "Hazardous travel conditions are probable due to slick roads and icy conditions."

    The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Loudoun County that will begin 9 a.m. Sunday and continue until 7 a.m. Monday.
