Loudoun County Public Schools seeking entries for transportation art contest

Loudoun County Public School students could their very own art used for county advertisements.

The LCPS Transportation Department will soon launch its transportation art contest, accepting entries from Feb. 5 to Feb. 16.

Students in kindergarten through fifth grade may enter one piece of original artwork on a standard sheet of 8.5-by-11-inch, white paper. The artwork should be completely hand drawn and include no photography, tracing or computer-generated images. Artwork should address the theme of “Driving our future,” LCPS officials said.

A panel of judges will decide finalists the week of Feb. 19. Winning entries from the art contest will be featured in advertisements used by the Transportation Department, particularly for the recruitment of bus drivers and bus attendants.
