Loudoun is the second best county in America to work, according to financial information site Nerd Wallet.
Nerd Wallet is a personal finance information website which focuses on personal investment, banking, and insurance.
The site noted the high median income of residents, relatively low unemployment rate and a high level of education in its workforce as factors in naming it No. 2 on the list.
Methodology for the study included four basic questions: Are there jobs? Do residents earn high salaries? Is the city growing? Are commutes short?
The first three questions were weighted 30 percent of the final score and the final question about commute was valued at 10 percent.
According to Nerd Wallet, the median income per person is more than $76,000, the unemployment rate for July was 4.4 percent and sectors like education, health care, social assistance and science have some of the highest levels of education in the country.
Williams County, N.D. ranked first in the rankings and four Virginia counties were among the top 20, including Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William and Loudoun.
