The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance for information surrounding the disappearance of a local wife and mother.
Leyla McCullagh, the mother of a 4-year-old child, was last seen Aug. 14, 2012, by her estranged husband Matthew McCullagh at her residence in the 21000 block of Evergreen Mills Road in Leesburg. Friends and co-workers contacted police in the following two weeks to report that they had neither seen nor heard from Leyla McCullagh in that period. Detectives then filed a missing persons report and began an investigation into her whereabouts.
According to Sheriff's Office reports in October 2012, Leyla McCullagh was suffering from an unknown medical condition at the time of her disappearance.
The LCSO is asking anyone with information about Leyla McCullagh's disappearance to call 703-777-0475. For more information, or to view a photo of Leyla McCullagh, visit the LCSO website at sheriff.loudoun.gov and search the keyword McCullagh.
